I try to offer a breadth of services to fill most woodworking needs. Below you will find an outline of those services along with details pertaining to them. I always use the best materials, locally sourced if possible in my projects. Quality is something I will not compromise on regardless of the job. Be sure to check out the Projects page for examples of my work.
I offer cabinetry constructed with inset faceframes, beaded inset face frames, and frameless full overlay. The possibilities are endless within these three styles when you consider door styles, mouldings, posts, onlays, hardware, wood species, and finish. Every job is a one off production built to fit the space it will fill, a big advantage over production cabinets built in modular increments.
Built-in solutions can be a great way to add utility and beauty to your home. Entertainment centers and consoles offer a great opportunity to house your electronic equipment in or on a functional piece that is akin to fine furniture. I offer cable management solutions, cabinet ventilation, TV lifts, and remote infrared sensors for your equipment, just to name a few.
Often overlooked by shops, I believe it is important to be familiar with the Americans with Disabilities Act, and I offer custom solutions to my customers. I go beyond ADA guidelines and try to build cabinets for the customer and how they live. I will come to your home with mockups which help me find critical dimensions specific to you. For example, it is important when designing upper cabinets to know how far you can reach and what your strength is like when reaching. It is equally important to know what counter height works best for you.
Whether you want a reproduction of a traditonal piece, have an idea, or have some wood you want to use, I will work with you to design a piece of furniture you will be proud of. I offer 3-D design to better help you visualize the final product. I utilize both traditional and modern construction methods in the pieces I build.
If you have an antique or historic millwork that needs repair or refurbishing, I can help you decide the best course of action and carry out the repairs as well. I use historically correct finishes, materials, and techniques.
Whether you need a curved or elliptical piece of door casing, a custom profile milled, or moulding in a species not commonly found, give me a call. I can also take care of other millwork for you including decorative post and beam boxing, wainscoating, custom doors, and much more.
I use 3-D modeling software for cabinet, furniture, and millwork design which helps my customers visualize what the finished product will look like in their home.
I offer panel processing and milling services to builders and even other shops who don't have panel processing equipment. I use a Striebig vertical panel saw to get nearly flawless and perfectly square cuts in plywood. The Striebig can also be used to size wood table top and counter top material up to 3 inches thick. I also offer lineboring if needed. In addition, I can dress lumber or size material to your specifications. I can offer other milling services as well.
Custom work requires a signed proposed work authorization or contractual agreement depending on the size and scope of the job. This protects both the customer and me by laying out the particulars of the job before it is started. Depending on the size and duration of a job, a deposit and/or payment schedule will be set forth up front.
